• Saved Foods: Frequently eaten items you choose to save

Automatically Collected Information:

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: App features used, interaction patterns, crash reports
• Performance Data: App performance metrics, loading times, errors

Information We Do NOT Collect:

• Improve AI accuracy and app performance
• Develop new features based on usage patterns

Communication:

• Send bi-weekly weight log reminders (in-app notifications only)

Local Storage (On Your Device):

All of your personal data—including food logs, weight entries, profile information, and saved foods—is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's SwiftData framework.

What Leaves Your Device:

• Food Images for AI Analysis: When you take a photo of food, the image is sent to Grok AI (xAI) for nutritional analysis. The image is processed in real-time and is NOT stored on our servers or Grok's servers after analysis.
• Text Descriptions for AI Analysis: When you describe a meal in text, the description is sent to Grok AI for analysis. No personal identifiers are included.
• Anonymous Usage Analytics: De-identified app usage data (e.g., feature interactions, crash reports) may be collected to improve the app. This data cannot be traced back to you personally.

• API Key Protection: API keys for third-party services are securely stored in our configuration
• No Password Storage: We don't require accounts, so there are no passwords to compromise

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Use the "Clear All Data" option in Settings to delete all app data
• Uninstall the app to permanently remove all local data from your device

Cancel Subscription:

• Manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID account settings

CalorieBro is intended for users aged 13 and older. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• The app verifies age during onboarding
• Users aged 13-17 should have parental consent (jurisdiction dependent)
• If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately
